What drives Saima to push for a Calgary where there is Enough for All

"I work with Vibrant Communities Calgary because I truly believe there is already enough for all. The world has more than enough land, resources, and capacity for every person to live with dignity and comfort. The issue isn’t scarcity — it’s inequity, often driven by systems rooted in greed and exclusion.
I was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and have had the privilege of living in six countries and visiting 48. That experience has made it impossible to ignore the stark differences in people’s quality of life — sometimes across borders, and sometimes just across the street. Yet no matter where we are, we are all human, and every one of us deserves the right to live with dignity.
At my core, I am a storyteller and a convener. I use art to illuminate the deep interconnections between people, places, and systems — and to bring communities together. I believe that community is central to addressing inequality and promoting dignity."
